I hope that for you too. That's awesomenice to see good employment practices.
Right now here in Ontario it's an employee's market, there is quite a shortage of labour across the board. Wages though are still stagnant, and housing costs are off the charts, were I live you do not work in the area and own a house, you either commute to Toronto to work, or like me work out of province. It's so expensive here people who work in the area have a hard time finding affordable housing.
It causing quite a dilemma for farmers who want to sell their farms for multi-millions. The govt has tried to quash this as the need for farm land and rural land is very important here. But it's hard to create green belts....
I am happy with my little slice of paradise with my horses and chickies, and hope I am a very very old cranky lady before I need to worry about being encroached upon by development!
I'm at least happy for you. Not me, but at least you.So done with winter....
BUT!
It is giving me an opportunity to get my hay in that I couldn't get last weekend! So I can't complain too much as the Fates are smiling on me at the moment
The ground is stiffening up so I can drive to the barn without burying the truck, so Wednesday I will load up with hay and shavings, feed and salt licks for the horses and chickies to get me through frost breakup... Again.
That is very nice of you to say. I've have had some very loyal people over the years. I take great pride in the number of people whose careers I have touched which have exceeded my own.You are a good leaderI would work with you no problem!
It's a wise employer who respects their employees.
She is a stunner.Chicken tax:
More pics of Blanche, she loves attention - not sure what breed she is but she lays lovely chocolaty olive eggs - huge eggs!

And I guessed the right color name but wrong breed (legbar never came up when looking for the blue chippy)Will Lulu be crested? I did guess a crested legbar (for the wrong one, but still!)
Oh god no, not another day like today, and not in repetition!Ummm...you have seen Groundhog Day, yes?
I was smart and avoided it. Éowyn was glad too as she was with me.I am so happy you are okay. I don't know where in Penn. you live, but heard the story on my way home tonight...and immediately thought of you & was concerned. So glad you are okay!!![]()
