The Hooligans survived the night in the cold garage. It didn’t get colder than 40 but that is still a big swing from 70 in the bathroom.
They took it in their stride. They did sleep under the heat plate rather than sprawled half outside it like they were doing. But they still came out to eat in the middle of the night.
This morning they were up before dawn and put a lot of effort into looking their best for the day ahead.
Next stop on their journey is the Chicken Palace!

The chickens are all alive this morning. I have to go to the city today, a friend of mine is in the hospital. I’m leaving the birds in the coop and run while I’m gone.
You need one of those Reolink cameras like I have so you can keep an eye on things when you're away.

I spy on my mum in the barn all the time 😆

Ok drive safe!

I agree - definitely set all that sort of stuff up - but it does't get rid of the mental anguish of living next door to such vile people.
:(
Yes bad neighbours are very stressful. We had a huge issue with fireworks scaring the bejezus out of my poor horses.

There was such an issue past few years with fireworks and livestock the township now outlawed fireworks exception Victoria Day and Canada Day.

I can manage 2 nights out of the year, keep the barn closed up and horses contained....

My neighbours know better than to go against that bylaw!

Omg soon cute 💖 can't wait to see them running amok outside!

I had heard of them… 😆 I love the broken English! And the absurdity of the whole situation… I actually found it in my junk folder as I was waiting on an email from a new contact… so I was checking my spam and there was my password from like 10 years ago as a title… I just couldn’t resist reading it. Having lost a free hot tub back in the day to said spam filter I now know when expecting an email from someone new to check all the junk mail. far more frequent is the ransoms texts from “govermen” or the ones about my non existent Netflix account or helpful ones about the credit cards I don’t have from the bank I don’t use! 😂
Oh dear
The more we use technology the worse this sort of thing is.

Thankfully I don't have too much trouble...yet!

Hi, folks. I am very sad to report my sweet armpit warrior, cuddliest chicken ever Sunshine died this morning. Below is a count of how it went down. Don’t read if you are faint of heart.

She did not come down from the roost when I let them out and was in bad shape. I cuddled her and then took about ten minutes to pull together a carrier, towels, and microwaved heat disk so she’d have a safe, cozy place with her friends (I thought she would die while I was at work). When I came back out, she was even worse. I cuddled her some more and sang to her through tears. She suddenly flopped out of my lap. I picked her up and she launched again. The flock started attacking her, so I pushed them away as I picked her up, trying to be soothing. I told her “It’s OK, it’s OK” as soothingly as I could. She made a couple sad little sounds and died in my arms.

Rest in peace, my little angel. I love you so much.
