Lovely sunny day here and Tribe 1 decided to come and help with the gardening.
I haven't seen any fighting between Treacle and Cillin recently although when the whole tribe gets together Treacle tend to stay out of Cillin's way.

It may be against their nature but I've seen it happen. I also have had my rooster Jabberwocky one day defend a pullet (Maleficent) from a hen Lilly and then the next day had to intervene as Jabberwocky attacked Maleficent himself.

By the way that was the next to the last straw before I did the same with him. Sadly, I do not ever feel bad about it. Sometimes I think I should, but I don't.
That makes me feel a lot better! Thanks! I got the impression folks thought I culled the wrong bird, but I didn't have another serious injury after that, at least not a chicken to chicken injury.
Confiscated Knocks eggs this morning so one broody less. Tbh it makes me feel bad but it has to be done. Knock doesn't seem at all bothered and only spent a couple of hours on the empty nest this morning before coming out and joining the rest of her tribe.
Rivit has a nest somewhere and I need to try and find that tomorrow.
I'm collecting eggs to hopefully give to the homeless here who have been swept off the streets in the virus containment measures. Me and a guy I know who helps the homeless and prison discharges plan to boil the eggs and distribute them somehow.
I think that is an awesome thing to do! :highfive: I just gave a couple dozen eggs to a lady I saw in the store who is trying to feed her kids. Apparently there are no eggs to be had here anywhere. We have to pull together the best we can right now.

On a sad note. Now Queen Bee is in sick bay. Similar symptoms to Queen Victoria, only she didn't develop them until after the Corid treatment that I just finished on Monday. So I'm not sure what to do with her. Since antibiotics and baby aspirin helped Queen V, I'm giving it a try. There are no open vets right now, especially for a chicken. Oh yeah, and we have no chicken vets here. :rant Open to any and all suggestions. She is not eating much, but she is eating. Very lethargic and panting. No respiratory rattles, no runny nose. I'll probably start another thread in ER. Going back out now.

Had to take a break because I'm sick right now too! :rant It's a perfect storm around here. :(

Do take care of yourself as well as the hens. Maybe someone on the sick threads can help you. :hugs :hugs

You’re an awesome person Shad. :hugs

I think I’m going to have to have Chickie put down. :hit She looks really miserable this morning and while she ate some cheese, she left most of her pork mince. She’ll preen every so often but either stands around doing nothing or sits in the garden and has a snooze. I don’t think she’s getting any better. :hit
