That’s food for thought. I was thinking about flying down to San Diego next weekend. I’m vaccinated, but as you say (still caught it) I would be around a lot of people if I went. (Auto auction for a car) and hire a driver to bring it back here. Now it’s questionable if I go. Hoping you get well soon!

Basil and Bubba are my Black Copper Marans. I'm not breeding for showing, but people do ask about parasitic white. I'm honest with them and do not hide anything. Basil would fit wonderfully into a Olive Egger program, his white would not be a problem. Branch and Ezzie are my silkies.

I thought Blanche was a black copper Marans, but not sure now. Esp with the feathers dusted in white which I think it pretty

She used to lay these lovely chocolatey brown eggs... But seems to be having egg issues right now.

If I ever do get another rooster it will be a smaller silkie that doesn't overwhelm my wee silkie hens.

Awwww so sorry to hear you are under the weather

Love your quilt I must send you some pics of the ones my mom has made for me. She made one called Cathedral Windows which she wanted to sell but I refused to let her, I paid her a small fortune for it it took her forever to make and it's beautiful. I told her it would be a family heirloom!

Ok feel better soon, rest, fluids, and watching your chickies is the best treatment.

Had my sister and BiL over for supper, showed him the pics (he also is a chicken nut, my niece got chickens but GUESS who now takes care of them....) We both think she is a keeper

She surely is. I should get some more pictures to really do her justice. She has her goofy side but she is also quite elegant. I think she will be a head-turner when she is grown.
