Interesting. When Maggie lost her balance and stopped roosting she slept in a nest box and crapped happily in it all night long. I was glad when she decided to go back to roosting so I didn’t have to clean the nest box each morning.
Fluff and Marty both roost in their boxes, Fluffy varies on the amount she does at night but it's not overly gruesome, Marty has maybe two little doodoo. Both boxes are easily cleaned I don't have an issue with it.

It keeps me sane knowing those two aren't trying to roost and possibly fall and get hurt.

Happy Pony Sunday. Jimmy would like to make you all aware of the flagrant animal abuse I have been engaging in… his bag of apple chips was empty, and he was forced to desperately mouth the packaging hoping for a small taste of them. It had been so long, at least an hour or two, and as you can see by his belly he is clearly famished, and about to perish from malnutrition. Also, last week I tried to pass off the system tap water as the bottled spring water they usually drink. Although I used the same container and even re-capped it, neither of the goats were fooled by this cruel prank.View attachment 3098118View attachment 3098119
Jimmy has a set of horns! And other parts 😲.

You need a goat cart and to train him to haul it 🤗

Please send all the snow you can!! :bow

I still need to get rid of the “other” parts! 😂 I have the cart… and pulling harnesses, once I get a few less irons in the fire I’m going to fit the pulling harness to him instead of his current one. I modified some dog harnesses that were “free” (but I still left some eggs!) DH grabbed all three, which was good because I had to take apart the most tattered one, and was able to use the two girth clips to add neck yoke clips (which has made mornings a lot easier not struggling to get the head hole over first that rack, then his nose, then tightened back up for his neck…) as apparently dogs don’t have horns, and because someone is a little less svelte I had to also extend the girth straps for them… mr Pickletoes! Lol

Edit to add: it seems like I’m constantly in a state of having the cart before the goat!

She may have re-roosted in the night. Is that a roost that had a ramp? For some reason Betty and Hattie do not poop a lot when they sleep in nest boxes. I can't figure it out but they seem to hold it in. Hattie is a real roamer so she may leave the box, poop, eat, drink, and then return. I have never watched closely enough.
I wish mine were that toilette trained.
