Wasn’t that sweet of them... to let you know how they’ve worked things out since their matriarch has gone :)

It was nice to see them all getting along. Lilly still chases the Littles at times but Hattie is fine with them now.

Btw, they are beautiful!

Thanks I think so. Aurora just gets more color everytime I look at her. I also can't wait until Hattie molts and replaces all the damage from Jabber's "attentions".

Those are some gorgeous girls you have there.

Thanks. For the longest time we only had black and white chickens. I have been able to interject some color into the flock. I do still have 2 black ones but they are still pretty. :D

I really like black chooks. So nice & shiny. I'm less fussed on white [though I have several] because I partially grew up in red soil country. White chooks always looked filthy.

What are these “white chickens” you’re all talking about? I had white chickens over winter, now I have dingy grey-brown chickens. But they look so happy when they are dusting themselves! ;)
In Queensland white chooks turn a funny pink colour...:lau I hate pink so I have transference issues...:gig

I just read of Patsy's passing. I'm very sorry for your loss. :hugs

Thank you so much. She will be missed. I'm going to start a section on the coop where I can memorialize great chickens like her. I hope to get it done this weekend. I think that will help a lot.

I mean beautiful white hens like my beloved Daisy. How she remained white after doing this I have no idea but she seemed even whiter afterwards!
