If you need blueprints I might actually be able to help. My daughter is an architectural engineer. She did drawings for my coop and run. Private message me if you are interested.
That's incredibly generous, thank you for making such a kind offer. For niw, I'll persist but if I get in a mess, I'll reach out

It looks very pink in the nest.

So I guess Hattie showed her appreciation of Aurora's nest building by appropriating it? "Get out Aurora, I've got business to conduct and your services are no longer required!"

Aurora is the worst nest builder of the bunch. She ruins them and them the others all work to rebuild them. I've seen Aurora walking around dropping straw on her back while moving. How does that work?

Bob, Apart from my Campines, the other 7 birds are supposed to be brown layers. :hmm I get various shades, none of which I'd actually call brown; everything from *yellow* [australorps] to pinkish [Barred Rocks]. The Favorelles lay a medium dark brown. Lavender lays a very light tan/beige, Lottie a small cream one, when she lays properly.

I'm just glad to claim anything other than brown with these 2 EEs. :D

You picked up on a badly written sentence. I went back and corrected. It now reads "Based upon the number of photos alone, you can tell....."

Thanks for pointing that out.

As I said, I caught Elphie's story up to Daisy's entrance. I have been telling Daisy's story (2 posts so far) and realized I needed to tell Elphie's as well. I will finish Elphie's story along with telling Daisy's. They go together.

Try to think of it as a movie flashback to provide backstory.

You may need to link all the posts together when they are all up, seeing as we have gotten all chatty and distracted and bouncy, as usual... I love the narrative and that’s a lot of what drew me to your thread; not to diminish the current events and stories of your current flock, Jabber, and Patsy (I still occasionally tear up a bit thinking of her)
