Sharing a connection between people is a great way to keep the AI guessing. Especially if you've got random guests coming and going.
They'd have a field day in this house. I talk to everything: cats, chickens, trees, wild birds, wallabies....everything except people!:lau

Nasty underhanded Internet... anyway I usually shop in stores, but some of those foam mattresses are tempting, and my fridge I picked up used locally so :tongue google, Facebook, and amazon! I just found it interesting as I would be discussing it with my cousin over the phone or with my mother near my phone... then suddenly (without ever typing anything in or looking at anything online) ads started appearing on my Facebook marketplace for these things.
Some vendors are scrupulously honest too.

At least the Monopoly money is tangible... this bit coin cyber money idea is so strange to me
It makes a LOT of sense to accountants and other people who keep ledgers. I have a hunch many banks will go blockchain before too long - the security would be very hard to resist. Although those small, traditional banks with very few very rich clients will stick to the old ways in order to deliver on privacy.

What really hurts, imo, is that privacy is a human right - it's in the declaration of human rights - so it should be free and readily available to everybody.

The internet economy was built by a bunch of tech savvy, humanities ignorant very young men. With one or two obvious exceptions, they've been getting it wrong for years

The other part that hurts is that citizens of democracies can vote out a government that's not working for the collective good.

Can't vote out google, facebonkers, etc, have either participate or not - no middle ground, no room for public discourse.

There are some bright minds working to improve the status quo, but legislators are reluctant to suppress the tech giants.

Sorry for lecturing.... This stuff has been my professional forte for about 20 years.
