When I did a course on animal behaviour , with a view to training dogs, it included a unit on training a species other than dogs using positive reinforcement and operant conditioning. Our class was teaching pigs to touch targets but in previous years chickens were trained.

If you spend enough time with an animal one gets to know their ways and they yours. My girls all know the sound of the bin lid where the meal worms are kept!

Too true. I was planting out azaleas this afternoon when the man mentioned there were 4 girls out ~ They always know where I am if I am out in the yard @ all~ & they had all come looking for me even though they know I'll pop them back in their run. And they all wanted to tell me all about everything. So even though they were chivied back they were yakking away 19 to the dozen.

I probably would purchase a PFM if I could afford it. I use the site a lot currently, although this is going to change.
When all is said and done BYC is a business. It just happens to be a business I'm interested in.
I'm only opposed to businesses that do harm. As far as I can tell, byc genuinely does good.

I kind of figured that you could gift a membership to someone, as a couple year's back I was gifted the BYC calendar.
I give the PFM's I win away on principle. I'm just not quite sure what that principle is.

Thank you all for the compliments on my flock. I have put alot of resources into having very nice birds.

i also saw ads in the middle of posts. Its fixed now. I think ill like this once i am adjusted. Its lightening fast thats for sure! I purposely dont block the ads, knowing thats their income. I knew the membership would block them but cant spend any extra money on the birds and i. I will one day in the future though. Shad gave me my first taste when he won several in the article writing contest, it was too kind and i got spoiled! Took awhile to mentally block the ads again.

Someone mentioned buying memberships for friends, its allowed, you just have to put the person's name in the comments when you make the purchase
That's great!! I'm so glad it's a feature already!

I'm trying to buy things that don't erode my data privacy, but it's not always possible.

Actually, it's usually impossible.

That said, I did pretty well shopping for a robovac recently. It's not even on the internet. It doesn't have a camera. It doesn't make a map. As far as contemporary tech goes, it's as dumb as a brick and that's why I love it!
I've got a broom.:D

To post videos I use YouTube. You upload the video there and then embed a link to it in your post. I did instructions on here for @Ribh I believe. I could repost them if you would like. Or maybe I could find the link to that previous post in these 400+ pages.

You could make it an article ByBob!
