What a great summary response.

As far as coronavirus goes, i am a microbiologist. Far more people have died from the flu this year. It always the very young, very old, and the chronically ill that are most at risk from a virus like this. It will continue to infect people until we are all exposed and develop immunity unless we develop a vaccine and create herd immunity first.

It seems that the press is enjoying this story this story right now. I like to worry about things I can actually control and this is not one. I would say don't let it keep you up at night.
100% agree on coronavirus. I used to be a molecular biologist, but now work in public education. We have to stay ahead of messaging, despite the fact that so far, WAY fewer people have died compared to flu.

And people still refuse to get a flu shot. :idunno

I dont do shots. Im way more scared of needles than the flu. Unreasonable, no doubt, but thats how it is.☹
Do you ever get the flu? I felt the same way, because I didn't know how bad it can get. Then I got so sick I would have gone to the hospital if it weren't the middle of the night, and being home alone couldn't have driven myself there. I couldn't lay down at all. Couldn't breathe.

I’ve been a bit hesitant in sharing this, given that we are from all walks of life and at least a couple of generations, but in light of poor Malificent’s demise, I thought I would. I’m not suggesting anyone else go out and do the same, only that it was right for me.

I mentioned a while ago I got a book for Christmas on chickens and there was a lady in there who lost her previous girls to a fox. To commemorate them, she got a tattoo of five feathers on the inside of her upper arm. It was a beautiful tattoo and I thought it was a lovely way to remember them. I have never had tattoos, although all my younger siblings do. I have been going through some stuff recently (mentally) and felt the need to do something radically different (for me, anyway). I have kept some of Bessie’s feathers and went and found two Isa Brown ones. I went and got my own tattoo done, to commemorate Emily, Penny and Bessie. Now my dilemma is; do I get a feather for each of my girls when they pass (in which case I may end up with so many feathers I’ll be able to fly ;)), or do I just get a feather for each breed? Or are the three feathers enough for everyone? I suspect they might be.

This is my commemoration for my girls who flocked their way into my heart.

Those are very pretty!

Oh, I'm glad you're here @micstrachan :) I've been meaning to show you this.
This is what I feed about 20 chickens with for nighttime treat food.
