My Little Einstein continues to Impress

When released back into the run, Sansa really had it out for Phyllis. Even faring her neck feathers several times. For her part, Phyllis always just ran away. She got pecked hard once but that was it.

Phyllis then just wouldn't go near Sansa. Her and Sydney were together a lot.

Then Phyllis wanted to drink some water but Sansa was right there. Her solution was truly unique and shows her smarts again.

@BY Bob I'm beginning to think that maybe it wasn’t just* Mrs Bob who “wanted” the Polish? You certainly seem quite taken with her as well...:) not that we aren’t all falling for her too or anything.;) She is just so darn cute! And smart, no less.:love

I am recognizing excellence when see it. It seems that she knows her limitations and place in the order of things but she is smart enough to adapt. She has won my heart and I am amazed by her. :love

I did not want a Polish, but she is clearly a special little hen. I am a lot less worried about her integrating at this point.

And how can you not love this face?

Oh, it’s not just you she’s won over! I’ve looked at Polish pictures before and thought “why? Just why would anyone breed that into a chicken?” Silkies, ok maybe I can see, but all that crest? Those poor little blind birdies...

Of course Phyllis (and ok, you get some credit for it too) is now changing my mind on them.

If you have never read the thread Nardole the Brave, it also shows that all Polish are not created equal. This story is where my wife fell in love with them.

Everyone should know Nardole, what a rooster!

There's a face under there?

Bob has three new beautiful girls, Sidney a Barred Rock, Sansa a Wyandotte, and Phyllis the Polish, and it is way too cold out down there! We chatted a bit about Eagles, cats, and life. The skunks haven’t been around too much and no sign of the killer. The Run/coop is fully tightened up. The new girls are in the smaller coop, pending full introductions. That’s what stands out in my recollection regarding just Fluffy Butt Acres. There are also more new chickens with others, @Ribh and @MaryJanet (I still need to catch up over there) my incubator is full, and I’m starting to get the house up. That’s about everything big I can think of... anyone remember anything I missed?
