Phyllis got Hurt Today

The middle toe on her left foot got caught in the back door today as she rushed to come in as I was closing the door. It bled badly. I tried to keep her still so it could stop bleeding but as soon as I let her back out it started bleeding again. We did watch some TV together today.

She stared both cats down as well.
The little ones are so scary. I get it. I am terrified by Lottie, she's so small & fragile but remarkably robust just the same.

And like others have said: That's a great T~shirt!

I've read people use corn starch or flour as a clotting agent that or pressure. Hope she is better now

I put a self-seeding flower meadow in the front yard! It's been delightful but sometimes sparsely planted. I need to reconsider the irrigation pipe because the spray heads don't provide the right coverage.

Did you get the seeds from the diggers club?
No, just the cottage garden mix and the bee lovers mix from the supermarket I'm afraid.

Oh no! Get better soon Phyllis. 😘 (See? too many mealy worms are bad for you!)

P.S. That's a fabulous T-shirt Bob 😍

So not POL. :( Like the rest of us you'll more likely be facing a molt & a few eggless months but I have found the favorelles more prosaic & less Prima Donnas than some of my other girls. All my Drama Queens make a song & dance out of everything whether it's molting or laying an egg. :gig

Do Faverolles have a later POL? I thought most girls POL was around 20-24 weeks. I asked for younger ones and the breeder said the ones without rings around their legs were around 12 months old, and he caught me three of them. River was moulting when I got her but she seems to be over it now.
