My girls will never breed so, they will never evolve as a flock, only perhaps change their behaviour to suit the way they are managed. Maybe into lap chickens if I do it right!

I don't even know what to say. Yes, it is what it looks like!

Lucy caught a frog once, back when I still had Penny and Chickie. It was hilarious watching the three of them flow around in a circle like a little pack of dinosaurs, but I felt sorry for the frog though. As they all had trimmed beaks they couldn’t rip it apart, so it died from blunt force trauma. I buried it under a frangipani I was planting.

They are beautiful birds, but incredibly noisy and destructive.

I think because society still views death as a taboo subject, it gets softened to words like ‘lost’, ‘gone’ and ‘passed’. I agree, we should just use the correct terms which would normalise it and people wouldn’t feel so awkward.

Aurora was enjoying a nice sun bath here. The thing that shocked me was a little while later Sansa went to lay down next to her. I know, not shocking. Sun and all. What she did was shocking.

Sansa slid up to Aurora and pecked her in the butt!

The reaction was like poking Godzilla in the eye while a really big stick.

Aurora let her know that was unacceptable in a forceful way.

She’s definitely round enough to be a bowling ball!

I laughed out loud at Sansa pecking Aurora in the butt; I had to read it to hubby as he wanted to know what I was chuckling at!

Mal's Flowers

This is what I envisioned when I picked out the flowers for Mal. They are to the left of the white chair, my chair, where Mal always liked to sit with me. This is also a great shot of the magnolia tree in bloom.
