I liked this one too. If I may be so bold to put my composer/musician hat on and offer some constructive criticism; I would have liked to hear just a bit of extra contrast, a bridge which perhaps didn’t contain the tonic chord, or something like that, just for a bit of extra colour. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it. I liked the difference between the pared-down sections and the full-on ones. (I belong to a song-writing club and we submit stuff and critique each other’s works).
I know none of that.. I can let him know.. he might know that but probably not.. thank you though... :)

I've got a major outbreak of outside nesting. I am having trouble finding them. I don't understand why Fudge has suddenly taken to laying in this spot. She was laying in her coop.
This isn't too bad. I know where she is and with regard to hawk strikes she's pretty safe there.
A hawk needs head and wing space for an effective strike.

@Shadrach :I don't suppose you've got any theories? Mostly Ha'penny is happy to use the nesting boxes but every so often she gets a real bee in her bonnet about laying somewhere else & paces & screams & complains if she can't get to her particular spot. Sometimes it happens after I've let them out & I find her egg on top of the mulch bag [her favourite outside spot] but sometimes we all have to put up with her antics. Morrigu is a bit the same way. She gets agitated & screams blue murder before she settles on somewhere to lay.

We don't have a lot of predators but they are still safer laying in the boxes. Hepzibah often takes hours to produce her egg. It's no wonder she goes broody so often, the amount of times she sits cogitating before an egg appears!

You’re welcome. And it’s not about being picky or mean, it’s about giving people ideas to help them grow and flourish. The song sounds finished so I know it’s difficult to go back and change something when you’ve moved on from it, but maybe it’s an idea that can be used for the next song. You grow and learn from each one!
