It is a far cry from what I would wish for. There are a number of factors that have influenced my decision.
I can't afford to feed the chickens that are here already, strange as this may seem to some.
I depend on my cash
Has everyone held their fluffy butts this morning? I have!
I have held no one today. They do not like to be held. They will come sit on me. That also has not happened today.

Which part of Italy is she from Bob. I've spent a bit of time in Italy; mainly in the South.
Mrs BY Bob's family hails from Genoa. She is the second generation in America. When we went for the wedding venue scouting we were actually able to unexpectedly squeeze in a quick visit to Genoa.

Why did they want out so badly?

To lay around someplace different! :lau

Knocks three went off to their new home half an hour ago. I found it pretty hard to let them go.
I think I prefer to let them live a while longer and kill them to eat strange though this may seem. The more time I spend with chickens for more I have to think about how I deal with their death and injury within myself.
Anyway, the young man is already besotted with the cockerel in particular. They will get some free range time apparently. The household has two dogs and while the dogs have been fine with other creatures in the past there is a training process the young mans father does with the dogs when new company arrives. Until this is completed they'll be confined.

It could be worse, Shad. As these things go it doesn't sound like too bad a deal for the chickens.

You did the best you could for them. :hugs :hugs

They seem to be nice people. I'm sure the chicks will do well and at least they have each other. Many little ones don't get to keep their friendships.
I won't give away a lone chicken. So far I've managed to give away pairs, or triplets.
I'm still writing out their history and instructions.:D

I gave that "Beware" warning especially for you RC.

Honestly, I think this hard moult is bothering me more than her but she seems to be through the worst of it now.

Hopefully I will have some lovely fully feathered pics to share before too much longer.
Thank you! Please tell me she is at least eating well and enjoying some aspects of chickeny life!
