I was so like - :wee
They all are doing good together- the one hen on the ground close to them is the only one that has really interacted much with them, she seams to keep a distant eye on them.
It seems to be exceedingly successful so far! :clap:clap

Lipping the Boxes

if anyone was wondering why I put the high board in front of the nest box. It was to prevent this.

The 3 week old chicks are doing great with the big hens. they have been out in the cook for 2 weeks. We took the dogs for a walk and when we got back I found the chicks "sitting on the stoop" [I like to call it] out in the run. I was so excited, it was so cute.

I am so glad to see that. My two are two weeks now and I am figuring out how to give them safe spaces to introduce them to the Princesses.
so far only Diana is interested in them chirping away in their brooder box. And she isn’t that interested - she peers in a couple of times a day.
