I was recently offered a fantastic growth opportunity, only one person in the world is invited to take it on but it's unpaid. However it supports the entire profession around the world. My workplace said "we can't pay you for that."So glad that you are getting good results from you and your team's hard work..
I hope you're getting recognition as well and that management has learned to take on your recommendations!
Congratulations to you and your team Bob!
P.S.
Are you and your team not being paid for your work? That just sounds wrong!![]()
Of course, I'm still going to do it but I'll have less free time. Although I'm secretly scheming to use up a few long service leave and personal leave days, as well as leaning on the union to get these kinds of service commitments acknowledged in workloads.
Long story, short: I'm not at all surprised Bob and his team of researchers are working without pay. Open the door of many workplaces and you see the same thing.
These are the people who move problems the size of mountains out of the way so everyone else can benefit.
Thank you Bob and your team.
