Ok, I've been catching up on MJ's thread and now know that it's a groundhog.

I like MJ's description of a cross between an otter and a wombat though... 🤗
It brings to mind an image of a wombat floating on its back in a river, playing with stones on its tummy or holding hands with a friend and taking a floaty nap :love imagine the tummy!!

I believe it! They look like Mafia hens. They just need violin cases under their wings and sun glasses! :gig
That made Mrs BY Bob crack up this morning. Every gang has certain roles and I think these fit.

Oh Bob, that was just too scary. Thank goodness you found him in the nick of time and that he trusts you enough to swim straight to you!

As soon as I read your posts I googled "Rigid swimming pool cover"

Here's some of the things that came up. I have no idea whether they would suit your pool but I thought you'd like to know about them.

These chickens are getting real expensive. 💰 🤑

Actually Bob, you said the water needs to be warmed by the sun. What if you got one of the clear ones?
My pool is also an odd shape. Where would I store such things is another issue.

Actually Bob, I don't recognize what ferocious wild American animal that is. Could you please educate me? (I'm pretty sure it is not a tiny wombat)
It's a ground hog. Like Punxsutawney Phil the guy who tells us how much winter there will be each year and the star of the Bill Murray movie.

My youngest took Lacy out for her afternoon constitutional.

I don't think Alice understands the concept of "cat"

You have made Mrs BY Bobs morning. She will be chuckling all day now. :gig

Only when the white ones have gone off. Tell your friend no green eyed monsters required. White to brown here. Nothing exotic.;)
It's nice to not be alone in the non-fancy egg color club.
