Walnuts

Thanks to @Shadrach talking about how much his flocks like walnuts i decided to see if mine would like them. Not surprisingly certain hens loved them. More surprisingly one did not.

Hattie gave me the most disappointed look she has ever done. She was just disgusted with me and my icky walnuts.

I filmed the flock last night eating some. I was late getting out to them, work, and Phyllis had already gone to bed so she is missing.

Ok, I've been catching up on MJ's thread and now know that it's a groundhog.

I like MJ's description of a cross between an otter and a wombat though...

When they grow up they look like very large, very 'robust' guinea-pigs. They have big claws for digging or for defending against foxes. They can be quite destructive.
