Big Mak attack is beautiful! I agree Ester is likely a Cuckoo Marans. But there’s something wrong with her egg coloring system.

How old is she? The older Patsy got the lighter her eggs got. Towards the end they were normal brown.

Nest Hunting

For nearly a week now I have only been getting two eggs a day. Ever since I took the ceramic eggs from the coop to break Sydney, neither Sansa nor Phyllis has laid an egg in the coop. None of the normal spots outside of the coop have any eggs in them so there must be a new spot. Tomorrow morning I will be on the hunt. I plan to follow someone to the secret location.

I agree Ester doesn't much look like a Barred Rock ~ but then strange mutations do happen.

This is Patricia.
She is a Barred Rock but something went wrong in the gene pool. Her breeder thought she might come good after her moult but 2 moults & she still looks like this.
She looks & stands more like a rooster than a hen & her comb & wattles are really large.
None of which is helping but odd things do happen.
