Something is not right with Hattie

I'm going to post on the medical forum but does anyone recognize what this might be? She made a strange noise while trying to poo a little bit ago and this is what I see. I will leave it a thumbnail to not grow everyone out.

@Kris5902 i feel like you might have seen this before. Hopefully you are around tonight.
Looks like a prolapse.
That was my first thought too, although I’ve not seen one close-up.
My thought too, although I've never seen one either.

Do you have any hemorrhoid cream handy Bob?

Could you post a link to your medical post so we can check up on Hattie too please?

I hope she recovers fast. :fl :hugs

The lady in the link I posted said that haemorrhoid cream is no longer considered appropriate.

I asked my Frizzle breeder friend whether she treats or culls for prolapse and this is what she said:

You can treat if quick but if it happens again, then cull. Or if a treasured pet, you can get them desexed so they won’t lay again.
Carefully wash all exposed parts in clean warm water, then gently but firmly push them back inside. Keep in calm enclosed enviro for a week to make sure is still ok.

Need a picture 10 mins after the one you've posted Bob.
It could be a mild prolapse. If you can recall, young Moon had something similar a couple of months ago. She held onto an egg. The mucus on the egg and around her vent dried out and she developed a hemorrhoid/mild prolapse when she eventually forced the egg out.
I treated by cleaning regularly, making sure the shite that dries around the vent all came off. This is important because the skin under the shite dries out and can crack and of course, loses some flexibility.
A cortisone cream of some kind is often recommended by ER.
I use a cream called Elcom here.

I only use it for a couple of days, then I use Calandula cream around the outside of the vent and coconut oil just inside the vent to help keep the skin supple.
I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice on ER.
There are a couple of decent articles dealing with prolapses.
What you do need to watch out for is Fly Strike.

I do remember Moon having that issue - I am hoping Bob and Hattie are doing OK - I didn't see the post on the medical site but I think what you outline here sounds like the right thing to do. I know you can also reduce swelling an make the area cleaner by using salt water to wash. @BY Bob we are all rooting for you and Hattie - sending lots of hugs. :hugs:hugs
