I've got to ask now. Why don't you hang out on the ER forums anymore; not that I'm trying to get rid of you.
I've had PMs from a couple of people who don't go to the ER threads anymore.

The main reason is that I’m trying to focus on flock wellness instead of illness. Also, sometimes things can get a little heated in those threads. Another reason is that I just haven’t had as much time and I’d rather spend my time here. LOL. Occasionally I do look over there and realize there are some newbies who could use some help. Not that I am an expert, but I’ve definitely gained a fair bit of knowledge over my 4.5 years with chickens. Lots to learn still.

I just sent the neighbor to get a replacement panel for my fence. (But I will do the work, I want it done correctly)! And Bob,I am a very patient man! I had teenagers myself, once upon a time.

My youngest was the worst driver ever. She bent 4 different rims, a control arm and tie rod all in different incidents. Put out a trail light backing up. Sideswiped a parked car and rear-ended someone requiring a new bumper and hood. All in 6 months.

However she now is an excellent driver. I can actually relax while she is driving. She is the only person in the family with whom I feel safe.

My oldest once rear-ended me at a stop light. This was after I had called my youngest and had her relay the message that my oldest was following too close and was going to hit me!

I had three teenagers. I put two through college, and the other one, (the youngest), through wall!

I'm not sure who would have been mating with her. There are no roosters here anymore.

There doesn't necessarily need to be a rooster to make a hen think she has mated.
When you pick a hen up for example and put her back on the ground, most will give a shake.
The shake isn't to adjust their feathers, or at least no just, it's to move any sperm to the right place in their oviduct. I can't remember what that place is called. I would have to look it up.
Anyway, I'm pleased to read Hattie seems back to normal.

My OD was the worst driver ever. She's very kinesthetic so where she looked is where she aimed the car! And she liked speed. It was a bad combination. She eventually wrote off her 1st car. I still don't feel safe driving with her which is a pity because she likes to drive & I don't.

Hattie Update

Hattie is up and moving and eating normally this morning. @Shadrach It was hard to get pictures of her bum. I was able to tilt her back and forth to get her to flex her tail feathers so you can see. Everything looks normal to me now. I have to clean her bum so we can get a better look as well as keep her from getting sore. There is no egg anywhere to be seen.

I am so pleased that Hattie is better, Bob! She is an beautiful hen!
