So I feel bad for the poor chicks being raised in a cage inside the house. They call for me often, and I let them out, but every time I let them out they run all over the kitchen pooping everywhere, which is a pain to clean up since there’s a big rug down. They were having short outdoor excursions on the weekends and I’d like to actually move them outside soon. The trouble is, temperatures are going down into the low 50s at night. They’re pretty well feathered, though, so maybe it’s OK now. Currently, the little red chicken coop’s mini run is not secure enough from rats and from the chicks getting out into the big girl area (where I can’t supervise while at work). Could be a weekend project! Anyway check this out!

When I replaced the hood and bumper on her car I got Maroon ones. Her car had been red. After that accident it was two tone.

One of my boys totaled his car... totaled my car... totaled my husbands truck... and was in three wrecks besides the totals And no, he wasn’t drunk in any! He’s just a little spacey...

Flo was not doing that part way, she was full out committed to that bath. You are lucky she didn't fling a rock and break your camera!

I stopped using the heat lamp because they were too hot. I’m not a fan of heat lamps anyway, but I was able to make sure it was safe since I was inside the house. Anyway, I was down to a very very low white animal heating pad and they have stopped using it. However, it’s still in the low 70s in the house.

Put the heating pad outside for them if you want. That should be enough if they need some extra heat. Once they are feathered mum won't sit on them anyway. They are hardier than you think.
