Ha ha! I buy chicken food in order to feed the mice so they can grow into chicken food.
Hmmm.
Perfectly reasonable, but I still feel I should try to eliminate the middle-man.

Shame it doesn't work for rats. There have only been two chickens here that I'm aware of that have killed a rat; Major and Mini Minx.

The Little Princesses have discovered the high perch out in the run and are enjoying the view.
It is quite windy so they have trouble keeping their hair-dos under control.

It's unusual I think for chickens in general. Bear in mind these are not city rats and are only about twice the size of the adult mice we get here.
