Whew! I just now finished catching up (I was only about 200 pages behind). And I must say that while I found all the soapbox discussions interesting I absolutely LOVED the chicken pic tax! Oh my, what a bunch of beautiful birds and other creatures you all have! I also really like the sunrise and sunset pictures. Maybe you will like this one from a couple of weeks ago.

Tug-of-war
WARNING - SOMEWHAT GRUESOME VIDEO

In big news Maggie successfully won a tug of war with Diana and now is in full possession of the mouse.
Sorry, I know I said I would spare you the gruesome details - but the tug-of-war is funny I had to share.

The Chick Pic Tax is turning out better than I dared hope. So many wonderful pictures that people were seeing on and not sharing!

Yet another day passes.
Over hills, twilight presses.
Moon already hung up high,
Welcoming nightfall.

Birds flying up to their nests,
Chirping time to rest.
Time for peace and stillness,
Time to restore our minds and bodies.

As all fades into night,
A hollow of absence of light.
Only twinkling lights of stars,
Sparkling in amid.

No drama or anger lingering,
No quarrels or crying interrupting,
Only songs of crickets,
Only dances of star lights.

Oh, what a pleasant time.
If only day were this tame,
It would bring peace.

Because our government, teaches us early in life to submit to authority, and to pay taxes. So chicken pics are an easy tax to pay.
