Broke down and added a little speed pass. DH needed to do a little work online... and the weather finally cleared up a bit for more photos... those are all from this morning’s mixed species grazing
Looks like it went well! I'm loving these pictures. I feel like I'm meeting everyone again for the first time.

Rats! You were my last, best hope! 🤣 And they really are the cutest little teddy bears as youngsters. Since I can't have one in the backyard, I wonder if I could hide one in the basement?....
That would be worse than an under-the-deck chicken coop. Probably a lot smellier too!

How are you making out?
Well, my AWESOME new tool is making breaking down brush piles much easier. But since long work hours, dark cold nights and the mountain lion, I have not been putting feed away at night. I will be home for the next nine days (YAY!!!) and will be diligent with the feed, along with breaking down brush piles and possibly setting traps for good measure. I have not seen any rats, but think there were turds in the run. I need cameras.

Ok, I think I've contributed a whole page of responses & I feel I should now share a chicken picture in the midst of my catching up! :DView attachment 2417990
What a chicken paradise! Looks like you grow some of the same chicken pasture I do... grass, clover, flax... is there alfalfa and buckwheat, too? :)
