Eggs will come. Patience is key.Awww. I'm sorry, I only lost Daffy at 12 weeks, but thanks to you and all the others on BYC everything is going great, but STILL no eggs.

Love your lazy fur-chickens, but ewww! My cats are generally good mousers and although they bring many gifts to my bed, that is strictly for toys and they have never tried to share a mouse with me. In fact they get all growly if I get involved (which I have to in order to get the remains out of the house).Yes, @RoyalChick I agree! Get a few more traps going out there. I’ve honestly had more issues with mice in our own trailer since bringing my cats up to live with us. (I was trying to spare them the joys of living in the trailer... but things didn’t go so well with my mother taking care of them after a while down with the heat and electricity and running water) the mice are attracted to their kibble, and my cats aren’t the most effective mousers, although with just over a year of practice, Charlie finally got a bit better at it. One night we caught six in a row between the two of us, with just two snap traps in the space of a few hours! Although I do think that as it was before Charlie started killing them, he may have caught the same mouse multiple times... it was super soggy with drool after the second catch! Catch and release outside doesn’t work, they run right back in, and in this case straight back to the feline! I’ve also gotten the occasional “to for the price of one” this always amazes me.then there was this... not what I wanted to wake up to!

Yep, that is my pillow... right next to my head, instead of in his usual presentation place near the door, I’m just thankful it was only lightly chewed and didn’t have a bot fly larvae(Now that Mouse Charlie did a favor by putting it out of its misery!)
Isn't he still on the mend? Or was that an ancient post? (I've been trying to read this thread from the beginning!) Didn't he have a gum injury? Poor Scooby, his services are needed everywhere! Is there no rest for the weary? So many rodents and so few real rodenteers....Plus it looks like his ear's been docked somehow too...Let this soldier rest on the laundry, he's earned it!![]()
Nothing on earth understands rest and relaxation like a cat. Just look at him - not a care in the world!Scooby is all healed up from his gum injury. He was a trooper and took all of his meds without issue. His ear is docked from when he was neutered. His belly is also tattooed for the same reason.
He gets plenty of rest!!

The article is done except for the plans. I am awaiting my daughter updating them to match the final coop. She gave me a delivery date of today.@BY Bob did you get your article finished?

Le Rat is only here during the day. I never get it on camera during the night. Its one of the reasons I think it may not live here.
I threatened to lock Isabel in the run but I bet Scooby would be more up to the task. What does he charge?
