Oh yes indeed. Nothing wrong with the hot wires - it is just that I need to remember to turn it on each night. The fox patrolled the coop for some part of the night but never tried to break in (I assume because of the hot wire).
Last night's score was Rodents 0 : RC 2. Not exactly shock and awe but not bad. And for the first time I did not see any live mice partying all night on camera. That is potentially a big development but I am not counting my chickens (if you see what I mean) because they could all have stayed in hiding because of the patrolling fox. So I am repeating shock and awe tonight.
The chickens are still turning their beaks up at rare mouse-steak. so the run is beginning to look a bit gruesome with little mouse bodies hanging around.
The fox would like those mice lying about. S/he can smell them likely. Mice are a main staple for fox.

But I actually have an under-the-deck chicken run/pen, and it doesn't stink. 8 X 10 foot space with only 3 chickens might be why it doesn't stink, though. I was worried about it when I set it up, but I've been very pleasantly surprised at how well everything has worked. That's not say that I'm really going to try to stuff a cow in the basement, though! :lau

I think it’s great!

I’d like to send a massive shout-out to the lovely @MaryJanet for gifting me a premium feather membership! ❤

I’m taking advantage of this and changing my tagline. Hubby uses Twitter and posted a picture of me with a tagline that I really liked. I had to go hunting for it but when I found it, I realised that Bessie was in the photo! :love
