Before I joined this wonderful group I had a limping chicken and read all about isolating but my gut told me she would be happier with the group and nobody was picking on her so I let her be with everyone else and I was glad I did as she never got upset or stressed which I am sure she would have if I had kept her separate.
Now that I can do!Hold it upside down and shake.
When Pearl came down with coccidiosis I had to isolate her, she was just so sick that leaving her in with the rest of the flock would not have worked! She was very calm through the whole ordeal and was able to morph right back into the flock when she was well enough! I would have done the same as you if it had been something like a limp!
So happy Mel is doing well.
Rocks-Anne is starting her molt. Getting black and white striped feathers, everywhere. (Couldn’t she wait till it warmed up some)? Molting hits her hard every time.

I’m taking advantage of this and changing my tagline. Hubby uses Twitter and posted a picture of me with a tagline that I really liked. I had to go hunting for it but when I found it, I realised that Bessie was in the photo!
