Kris, this might be a really dumb idea & you know heaps more about treating this than I do but have you tried drawing ointment on that? otherwise known as ichthammol ointment.
I was thinking the exact same thing - it doesn't look like it has travelled up the leg but it is also not yet 'pointing'.
The best way to get an infection like that to point is soaking (which I think you are doing) and ichthammol.
Now the problem with the above is that is true for all mammals, I know chickens pus tends to go hard (like bumble foot) so I am not 100% sure it works for birds.

Agree! And could you instead ask them to give you 1-2 of the ones they took so she has some flock-mates?

That would be a great idea so she would have some buddies. But I don't think I can unless I got another coop, the one I have for my four - just for sleeping - holds really only 4-5 large fowl, and they say 6-8 medium size, so for now, maybe, but I think that's crazy tight.

Here are some pictures of Roosties foot @BY Bob it is swollen and hot, and no medication came in today... I am starting to feel desperate, but am hesitant to do anything with nasty weather coming in and inadequate indoor space for him. I need my own barn! I am moving the smelly girls into the trailer tonight, as we are getting a rain and windstorm warning.

I do not see any one area to open up. I am sure there is no way you can soak it in hot water. If I were to do anything, I would consider removing fluid with a syringe. What we would call a needle aspiration. You really need the antibiotics. :barnie

Will you be able to ice skate on your pool surface? (That would be kinda cool, for Christmas)
Hattie has done it before.

I suppose you have tried bringing the cord up with the hanger, like twist-tying it to the hanging loop and then the hanging rope, or wrapping around that rope? If you still would like to try hanging it, that is...
I put it on an elevated tray or bucket. It's no big deal.

Awwww
The storm is definitely here now. Looks like 3” already. It is 26F in the Palace and 23F in the run.
Something interesting happened at roosting time. Maggie got her favorite spot up against the wall. Normally all the big Princesses go together (with no obvious pattern to the sequence) and then the two road-runners add on at the end.
This evening one of the road-runners (probably Minnie, but hard to tell) hopped up next to Maggie who was not impressed and lashed out to keep her away.
But as soon as Maggie settled down, Minnie edged close to her. And now this is what we have: Maggie being kept cozy by Minnie and everyone squished up together. So cute!
