Panic this evening! Hens and BLU went into the coop. But no Jaffar. I heard a panic chicken noise out by the front gate. Saw a stray dog in my yard. I searched everywhere for my roo, and found him cowering deep inside an overgrown willow. Jaffar is safe, no physical signs of injury.
He is shaken up though. Tomorrow will be a day of finding and reinforcing my perimeter fencing!

O my gosh. So scary. I am thrilled that he is OK.

That looks like a nice old fashioned grocery store scale.

Those were pretty much the terms I fed into the googler!

I just use the human scale and hold them........

He does, but I'd like to do it more often.

Not candy... definitely a very bad idea... my cats are not impressed. I need a bottle. DH is very, very not impressed. She can jump, has already piddled on a blankie, and if mama would show up I will happily return her. Doesn’t like blue glove improvised nipples, is trying to chew everything. I am NOT cut out for this... I don’t do sheep even

Tsuki has worked hard at bullying her way to her figure and I'm sure is very proud of it. If you are going too be a bully, be a successful bully. That's Aurora's philosophy as well. She is also plumper than the normal for her breed.

It's all fluff! Truly!

I've been thinking of something like this. If you put some straw in the bowl and weigh them at night, it might not be too much of a struggle.
