@BY Bob and @LozzyR , I'm afraid I couldn't find a really good picture of Hubby's pink silk outfit. :(

Here is a selection spanning several years in the SCA anyway.
The masked ball. That's me in the brown, fur edged sideless surcoat and gold under dress. As you can probably tell, I went for a much earlier era than Lozzy.

Hubby is wearing his pink silk under the gold velvet cloak.

Who is this dashing young man?View attachment 2488710

Me. It's me in case you were wondering. Borrowed the outfit from a friend who was a very talented tailor.

This was my favourite feasting outfit. Made by my mother-in-law.

And a more recent photo. Taken about 22 years ago at the Rowany Festival, a four day camping event held over Easter.

These are amazing! You are so creative. Thanks so much for sharing these. Very cool. I imagine it must have been a lot of fun.

Speaking of a gossip of hens, there is some serious intrigue going on at the Palace today.
This morning I went to open up as usual and as I approached the Palace there was an unbelievable ruckus going on. Lots of shouting and bawking.
I opened the door to the run and normally I face a stampede of running and flying chickens who charge at my legs and sometimes at my head in their eagerness to great the day and check if I brought treats.
This morning nobody.
The two road runners were on the roost near the door peering over anxiously to the other side of the coop and they did eventually scuttle out as if glad to escape whatever was going on inside.
In the far corner the 3 ladies were all together up on two roosts at 90 degrees so they were all beak to beak in the corner just yelling at each other. They didn't even look up when I came in.
Eventually they quieted down and shuffled off out.
What on earth were they so upset about? Seemed to be more upset at each other than me. Like the good servant I am, I was clearly peripheral to the main drama.
I have no idea what was going on - the only thing I noticed is that someone (I have no idea who) had just let fly the most eye-wateringly pongy poo you can imagine. Seriously gas-mask worthy.
Was this all recrimination about stinking up the Palace:

"Why can't you be more lady-like and drop those bombs outside?"

"When you gotta go you gotta go"

"It's not my fault it is that red cabbage - you both painted the floor fluorescent green so I don't see how you can be all high and mighty with me now"

And so on.
The discussion is continuing outside and I have discretely withdrawn to fresher air!

I do Facebook for one reason, pictures and news of my children, grandchildren, and old friends.
And I belong to an all-women Philadelphia Eagles fan club. :p
How do you feel about the Pedersen firing?

How do you feel about the Pederson firing?
Don’t get me started on that. Bottom line there is POLITICS!
Pederson basically dissed our starting QB (who frankly stinks) and so one of them had to go. Since they paid a lot of (too much) money for the quarterback, they ditched the coach.
This is the coach that got us our first SuperBowl win. If you recall we also let go of the QB who WON that SuperBowl in favor of the one who stinks.
I told you not to get me started!
I could go on and elaborate, but I’ll shut my beak now.
And now I guess I owe some chicken tax.

That is exactly the response I expected. Sorry to pick at a sore spot. Ravens fan here.
