What a lovely photo. I love a good Tennessee walker too. I'd better since that is what the other 2 boys are. I'm glad your daughter had such a sweetheart to learn on. A bomb proof kid's horse are the unicorns of the horse world and worth their weight in gold. My dad and Rosie just left on a trail ride since its not miserable today. I expect them back in about 2 hours or so. She's always been a papaw's girl, but her favorite thing to do with him is riding.

Beautiful!! I love the presence on your dad's horse, looks like he's ready to run!!

Shotgun houses are historic to NO.... I tried to find one that looked like my grandmothers but couldn’t find one.... some are very colorful ☺️View attachment 2519320View attachment 2519321View attachment 2519322View attachment 2519323
Wow - those are really fun. Thank you for sharing those!
My house is nowhere near as colorful, but yes, you can see those don't have much wall space.
Mine is also not straight (just to further complicate things) but is laid out forming 3 sides of a square which gives me a sort of courtyard in the middle which I love.

That's Louis, a former padded show horse. I despise that type of showing, but due to his years of showing Louis is always ready to go when you first get on. He finally relaxes and settles into a easy walk and stops pulling once they reach the top of the hill. Rosie can ride Louis, and did before we got Russ for her. She just doesn't like to ride him because he pulls so hard at times. Russ she can drop the reins and with a little nudge on his neck he'll go where ever she wants.

As some of you may know.. it is Mardi Gras season here right now... this is a golf cart parade that my sister and her husband are riding in! My brother in law made this Gator Cart... I thought he did a great job so I wanted to share!View attachment 2519217
That is just awesome! :clap :clap :clap

The easiest way to think about it is train carriages. You have to go through one room to get to the next one. No halls or passageways. So each room (except the two at the ends) has two walls that are windows and two that are doors into the next room on the daisy chain. The rooms at each end have glass doors to the outside instead of to the next room, so they are 3 sides all glass.
I am over-simplifying a bit, but not much.
It is a bit eccentric. It is converted animal barn, milking parlor etc. from the 1880s I think.
It just sounds very cool! 😎
