I don’t think that called for SHRA tax because it is nice when lots of people say the same nice thing about a post. It isn’t answering as question that has already been answered.
That said, I just LOVE the tax payment.

I am not going to say that I have not stood at the bins looking at them every time I go into the store. There is something magical about chicks.

I can only picture these bins full of chicks! I’ve gotten my 2 lots of girls from local farms, the feed type store I get food for them from has just started to have budgies and bunnies, before that it was only reptiles and fish.
I remember pet stores when I was younger with puppies, kittens etc but not sure any of those exist here anymore
Even our dog (the Scrambles of my handle namesake) that we got as a 12 week old puppy was the offspring of a farm dog who got pregnant (unplanned) to the next door neighbours terrier. When we went to see him and consequently buy him, the 3 pups of the litter were all staying out in the chicken run, seperate of course to the hens
Maybe that’s why he accepts the girls as family

I just had a tasty dinner too, cajun spiced shrimp and creamy cornmeal polenta
Gave the ladies the last piece of quiche today, they were afraid of the dish it was in so had to hand feed it to them, or toss bits to them, so no pics.
Did spend a rare afternoon with my other dinosaur letting her have some time in the front window.

Shoot! *shoves soapbox back into a dark corner* maybe no one noticed? I’m going to have to lure my poor west-coast pansy chickens out into a polar vortex for tax purposes now? (it’s below freezing here!!! Not fair, I’m from Vancouver, it’s the “southern gulf islands” it’s NOT supposed to do this here! as all you dealing with actual blizzards, hoar frost, ice storms, and worrying about actual frostbite roll your eyes in exasperation ) note that means I’ll also have to go outside in sub zero Celsius weather!

But where are all the little children of the corn? Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a tendency in the horror genre to have a corn field? It’s never a soy bean field, or a wheat field, or even a permaculture food forest... the bad stuff always happens in, near or comes out of a corn field? Maybe the anti GMO crowd has something there? What is so creepy about corn???

I will point out that friendly ghosts did come out of the corn in Field of Dreams. What does that mean?
