My gosh. I'm so sorry. I have no heat to send your way. Maybe @MaryJanet can send you some.Frozen pipes, tanks, pump, waterers, propane regulator... where I source my water pipes are frozen... Black tank full and frozen, and the S*** is supposed to be flying for the weekend. But we have puppy pads for the goat, which are also coming in handy for us until the thaw. Just a few days...
I've got plenty to spare, that's for sure.
Adorable. How old are those chicks? That’s a lot of comb for a wee one!Tiny terror Karen has found her manager. The little devil still wants nothing to do with me, but for over 20 minutes now has happily been perched on my daughter. Willingly mind you, she's currently on her shoulder as I type this. Ungrateful little brat.

Alex, sorry to sound obnoxious, but if you are giving them treats, are you also providing chick grit? The babies are smart little buggers. They can recognize the bag of meally worms, and start going crazy. Even the sound of the bag gets them going.
they are only 3 days old. (Oh boy, am I in trouble)
I was thinking cockerel too!Adorable. How old are those chicks? That’s a lot of comb for a wee one!

I like it. What about Keith?I’ve been wracking my brain trying to recall the name ascribed to a male Karen... not Ken or
Kevin...
That sounds better, my friend swears it’s Kyle, and apparently “research” indicates Terry shares most of the “Karen” traits, but I think Keith... but with an a, “Keath” is a good fit! (I’d tag my buddy Keath, but he doesn’t follow this site, and is almost the polar opposite of a Karen, which would only make it more entertaining to him!)I like it. What about Keith?
They are 2 weeks old today. I'm watching these chicks like a hawk. Right now i'm thinking it is a pullet. 2 reasons, delicate dainty legs, and while there is comb for this age, marans have a large comb and females can have a bit of comb at this age, there is no wattles yet. If i have them still at 3 1/2 to 4 weeks old I should know on all of them. This is Bumblebee at 2 weeks old, no doubt about him even then. Now, if Karen does decide to become a boy, he's Kevin. Rosie informed me that male Karen's are called Kevins.Adorable. How old are those chicks? That’s a lot of comb for a wee one!
