Warm Water

They line up every morning now when I bring fresh water out. Hattie is always first.

I sat in the run with them for a while yesterday morning. Something has happened to my relationship with Sansa. She would not eat any meal worms from my hand and kept a wide berth from me at all times. I wonder why? 😥

Some photos from our time together.

It's freezing here so I run out with warm water, they really enjoy it don't they :)

Well, the chicken tax payments are going to be late in coming there are now thigh high drifts of Snow out there. View attachment 2528709We struggled out with the waterers and DH put one in front of the trailer a foot or two away from the door. The Chickens sensibly said “nope!” No one ventured out. We did relocate Roostie and his ladies into the barn, surrounded by hay bales and topped with the brooder box lid as owl protection. The snow was drifted up over his tractor and some had even managed to sift into the roosting box overnight. Yesterday we got everyone else turned so the non vented backs of the tractors were facing the wind. View attachment 2528707
that’s a 63L garbage can almost completely buried by a drift. It’s not actually that deep, maybe a foot and a half of actual snowfall at most, but the winds here like to make things interesting for us. Good news is it’s much warmer now, +6 C by tuesday... so the tanks should unfreeze soon.

Couldn't actually see your pictures but I have no difficulty imagining thigh high drifts having just come back in from giving scrambled egg to the Princesses.
You are going to have one hell of a time with leaks as soon as it thaws inside. I am so sorry you have to deal with this! :hugs
