That's a very sweet photo of them together, even though they were being pranksters :)

As for Lilly spending the night in a nest, I wonder if she's a little hormonal after her recent egg and wanting to sit on a nest without actually going into a full broody state.
I wonder if this could be true. 🤔

Bok and Lilly were in the same mood it seems 😏

I took a pic then realised it was a month nearly to the day I got a shot of her doing it last time (minus the wooden egg) when she was in moult still. I love her new feathers 🥰

She has her position set in stone it seems 😂
Her feathers are spectacular and like all models she knows her good side and only lets you photograph that side.

I was more stunned that Hattie did not lay an egg. That is new behavior for her. It's like they were reminding the tribe that these are their nest boxes and they just allow everyone else to use them.

Here they are 😁

Sorry, me and the 5yo were goofing around with pranks and she thought this was a great one 😅

So here’s a secret video I just found from earlier today that she made that I offer in way of an apology for me being a doofus 🥺
The video is actually made for you guys though, ‘the chicken chat’ as we refer to this as 🥰
Well played! That was fun. :clap:clap:gig:gig

The video was wonderful. Thanks for sharing that. 🥰

I had to look that up. I didn't know earthworms could get that big. Phyllis was certainly ambitious!
She was very industrious. Luckily it was just her and me so none of the bigger hens was able to steal it from her.

My grocery store has coconut oil. I think I have crisco brand coconut oil actually. 🥥 🌴
This is what I am seeing in her comb. WDYT?

Wow, I’m tired today. I went to my neighbors house and cleaned up for her. Fed her animals and mine. Cleaned her coop and mine. Went to town for groceries for her, and myself. Repaired her broken gate. Talked to my other neighbor (the one with the roosters) and found out his intentions. (Raising them for sale and not cockfighting) now I will be working into the night, designing the new coop for the littles. (After I make myself some dinner) :th
Who raises roosters for sale, when so many are unwanted already? Are they a highly-desired breed?
Tax! September last year.

That's a very good question. I didn't ask who he sells them to, just as long as I don't have a cock fighting arena in my neighborhood.
