Alright...gonna come clean here. I just joined BYC today, after spending countless hours over several weeks reading Fluffy Butt Acres.
No, I cannot claim to have read all 3000+ pages (but definitely several hundreds ), and I'm so grateful to have this message board as a resource.

Chickens can cope with one if it comes to that. I'm trying to remember which eye does what. Their duties are split

Tbh, I didn't know what user name to apply and the "red" is actually my hair color
I have no red chickens (that I can tell)...my best guesses today are 2 grey EE, 1 cinnamon queen, 2 orpingtons, 1 mystic onyx and 1 ??? (She is lean and fast and mostly white and flighty).

When people ask me what sort of chickens I've got I tell them the sort that lays eggs and roosters. Even that isn't quite true.

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to share with you all what happened over the weekend! On Saturday afternoon, I went out to my backyard to feed Cinnamon & her little ones. While I was out there, something must've scared them, because all of the chicks started to scatter. One of the chicks took me by surprise and flew up onto my head and decided to perch there. I considered it a huge compliment that she thought of me as a "safe place".

More or less finished Cillin's new home today. A bit to do on the ramp and maybe a nest box/area.
He's been living with me for what seems like ages. I know it's well over a month, getting on for two perhaps.
The coop is decent. Not too big for him and maybe one or two hens. It's far better for his health than being in the house. I'll get to sleep without ear plugs in. It had to happen at some point and I've given us time to get a new routine sorted.
His bumble foot is much much better; enough so that I'll take him to Gloria to get the last bits of core cleaned out.

Why am I sitting here missing him......
