Nah, sounds like a normal bad day, and you were asked to describe it!

I was speaking with our internet provider and that lady, somewhere in the world, also had numerous chickens in the background with at least one rooster and it sounded like more. I told her I liked them, and she was gracious about it but seemed a little embarrassed. Throughout our talk as she did various things on our account and the noise gate let it through, I periodically told her it was nice to hear. She ended up more relaxed about it and even laughed a little. But I couldn't get her to tell me more - Are you next to a chicken farm? What kind of chickens are they? "Yes, lots of chickens" was all I got. I wanted to know more, but then thought maybe she's next to a slaughterhouse and I didn't want to know that. But the chickens didn't sound like they were having a bad time. Normal sounds, talking and calling, just a lot of them.

So maybe the response you got is because they drive her crazy, but more likely it's a demerit for her in her employer's eyes and she knows it, you know, not enough of a "professional appearance" and representation of the company, blah blah blah. Chickens are fine with me if she can do the same job as anyone else, and she did.
Okay, this comment makes me feel better! Thank you!

One of the EE's has wry neck. She was fine this morning. Rich checked on them when he got home and she was flat out on her back and not moving. He put it outside to bury.

I came home from work and heard a chick peeping. I found it and brought it inside. I looked at it and it was all floppy with her eyes closed. I gave her vitamins and put her in a warm place. Within the hour he eyes are open and she can sit up but not walk yet. She'll stay in her little "bed" tonight and hopefully she'll e better by morning.

I hope she gets better.

The statement had a charge I didn't recognize. Asked the kids if they used the card (which I knew they didn't for this...Uber outside of the country 😂...but maybe they were helping a friend??).

I have to say the customer service wasn't stellar. I'm kinda being pissy but the rep had roosters crowing in the back and I said something nice about how we love our chickens and I got such a cold response.

Anyway I got transferred 2x and ended up back at the same rooster lady that I spoke to first and she handled it. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
Not sure why she didn't do that the first time we spoke. 🤷‍♀️

Old cards are now deactivated and new ones issued. It's kind of annoying tho, it is the kids' emergency card and a bunch of autopay stuff is on it so I have to update that.

Man, I sound like the world's biggest complainer today! Sorry 😞
It's a pain I know. I just had to replace one too. They are woven into our lives.
