If you were in Australia I might think it was a Satin Bower bird. It looks about the same shape and size.
What sort of birds are local to your part of the UK?

Update on my sick chick. She's doing a lot better. Her breathing is less stained, coughing now and then for the most part. She even peeped and struggled when I picked her up.

Mild Rooster suspicion on owlface who has a lumpy comb, gained weight fast, and appears to have white shoulders.
