It seems to me that going to Hawaii via the UK may not be the most efficient route.Pack your bags, I’ll pick you up!
But what do I know? I'm not a sailor or pilot.

What a lovely sight.I think everyone should be able to look outside their kitchen window while doing dishes and see this. One very happy hen with her group of littles.

They are lovely and long. You really notice them when she sticks her nose in your face to see if you're still breathing in the middle of the night! What a nice set of whiskers on Noodle!
That's so encouraging. I'm so happy for you.My sick chick is doing better. Once she recovers I will treat you all to a naming ceremony.
That is somewhat odd. I wonder why?The roadrunners were very busy with a particular clump of weeds that seemed to require their attention!
I don't think they would have been run off - they would have been permitted to join at the edge of the group (much like roosting - as long as they clearly know their place they are tolerated).
One thing is strange to me is that I have never seen the roadrunners sunbathe. Maggie is a real sun worshiper and will often take a few minutes to stretch out even when it is really hot out. She is often joined by Elizabeth and Diana but they are much less into it than she is but the roadrunners don't seem tempted at all.
They all dust bathe often in batches and sometimes all five together (which is why I don't think they would have been run off if they had wanted to join in). But no interest in sun bathing. Strange.

I thought blue was true as well. I need to research this.Speaking of blue eggs… I can’t believe I keep forgetting to share this. So my cream legbar lays blue eggs. They’re actually getting to be pretty decent sized eggs. However they do appear white on the inside. It looks like the color is added at the end, just like with brown egg layers. They’re also starting to fade, like I have seen in some of my brown egg layers.
My Easter Egger, on the other hand, lays a slightly greenish blue egg. They are smaller, but the color runs throughout the entire shell inside and out. Any thoughts on this? I thought all blue eggshells had the color throughout. Nope. Does that make Flash a fake Legbar?

I think Alice's and Pepper's eggs were white on the inside of the shell but the colour doesn't scrape off like the brown does on Edwina's eggs.I thought blue was true as well. I need to research this.![]()
O.m.g!Well I just found disaster out in the coop. Phyllis was off the nest and I was going to exchange the eggs for ceramic. What I found was shocking.
Someone had destroyed her nest.
All but 2 of her eggs were strewn about the inside of the coup and one of the two in the nest were broken. I removed the broken egg, put the 3 ceramic eggs in with the one good one. Gathered the others from our in the coop and rebuilt the nest.
When I was done Sydney came in to lay her egg. And she took the nest box. A short while later Phyllis showed up waiting to get in the nest. Once Sydney is done and Phyllis is back in I'm going to wire Phyllis in.
That will buy me time to split the coop.
