Good evening everyone. I'm thankful that being fully vaccinated seems to so far keeping my symptoms to those of a bad sinus infection. My head feels like it's about to explode from the sinus pressure yet I don't have the headache to go with it. My sense of taste though is totally shot. Nothing tastes right if I can even taste it. Strong black coffee, my go to drink....nothing, just warm colored water and I made a pot extra strong. I miss my chickens. I tried this evening to sit out on the back steps with them for a few minutes and it was just to humid, really made the sinus pressure worse. Rosie did go and bring Poppy in for a few minutes for some cuddle time but after about 5 minutes she was done and wanted back outside. I think tomorrow I'm having her grab Butter for some inside time. I may just throw a towel on the bed and see if she'll nap with me.

Jaffar, as much as I'd like to meet him, will first have to deal with top hen Hazel first. Just look at her! So I feel pretty safe. Although, now that I think about it, she has been interested in meeting Jaffar for a long time.

Have you been offered or asked about a monoclonal antibody treatment? It is supposed to reduce symptoms and severity of disease when administered early. I don't know if vaccinated people are getting it, but your other potentially complicating health issues would seem to make you a candidate in my opinion.

I have not heard of that. My doctor felt that where I'm vaccinated and so far it is not bothering my lungs *only coughed I think 4 times so far* that steroids, z-pack and mucinex would be the best course. I also have to keep taking my allergy medicine, use nose sprays and I have a inhaler incase its needed. I've not ran a fever although one moment i'm freezing and the next burning up. Now this plan can all be thrown out the window if my symptoms get worse or my blood sugar goes stupid. They are staying elevated but not crazy high. So also testing Keytone levels twice a day. I may feel like crap right now, but it is nothing compared to Diabetic Ketoacidosis which has put me in ICU in the past from both the flu and stomach virus.

Anybody have a homemade mayonnaise recipe? I have so many eggs now, I need to use them for something.

Mayonnaise doesn't take many eggs, it's mostly oil. A sponge cake, cheese or pound cake, angel cake, merengues, egg salad, deviled eggs, or an omelet / frittata would use more.

12 dozen, is just too many eggs for me to store away.

Hold my last reply, you'll have to get your whole community cooking with that many eggs. Can you donate them anywhere? Is that allowed?
