As some of you are aware, I've been moving around a bit.
This is Clevedon a few miles down the coast from Bristol. My eldest daughter and I spent a lovley afternoon walking one of the coastal paths here.

Not far from Bristol heading inland is the city of Bath. I took my daughters mother here for the day. I'm still struggling with that frustrating gadget called the smart phone, paticulalry the camera which has it's own idea of the pictures I should be taking. The city is stupid expensive. Don't bother looking for some classic city houses unless you've got a million plus to spend. There are some lovley little cobbled streets and stacks of history. Anyway, some culture shots.

Over to the other side of the country. This is Seaford, not far from Brighton.

Back over the other side of the country and just around the corner from Lands End in Cornwall is this lovely bay called Sennen Cove.

Given I am now for the time being at least an upstanding subject of the Brtish Queen I better pay my taxes. I wouldn't want the Excise Men after me.
This is Mini.

These are just wonderful Shad. I still fight with my phone too. They are so much smarter than us that you can't get the photo you want. These are all lovely though. Thanks for sharing!

So had family over for dinner last night. The niece is home for visit between finishing Basic/A school (military's concentrated training for whatever job you'll be doing for them) and going to duty station. She's never petted a chicken. Of course no one will cooperate so....stole Thing 2 out of the coop when we went out to close it (didn't take phone for pic, but here's pic of Thing 2 aka the Feather Headed Dingbat)
View attachment 2800285After petting, holding, wondering over the soft feathers and 5 toes, we put Thing 2 back in the coopa nd head back inside. Hilarity ensues. She's trying to figure out how to bring the bird with her...
...service animal...
...comfort animal...no, need to get more creative to get bird past the military...
...bird's witnessed a UFO and has to be debriefed...
...bird's in witness protection program...
...the feathers of the crest act like antenna. The bird is an anti-spyware device. Bonus: will provide eggs too.

Thing 2 is still sleeping in my coop, but the ideas went nuts!
Thing 2 has clearly witnessed a UFO - that is why all the feathers on her head are standing up (it can be a shocking experience I am told).
I love that story - another chicken-convert!

These are wonderful. I hope you keep sharing photos of your travels around the country. 🥰

Thanks - I just got a commercial 'shell booster' with similar ingredients. I have been researching deep into academic literature on weak shells and it seems I need manganese, copper and zinc as well as calcium.
That said, sunflower seeds contain the manganese and copper and that is their go-to treat anyway so I may be chasing rainbows.
That

Watch something else! Maybe a john Wayne Western.
A cooking channel for great ways to use eggs - I made a lemon tart that was to die for and that used a dozen eggs in the filling - and @featherhead007 you have lemons so you could really go crazy with that. It is a serious crowd pleaser and very easy once you get over the fear of where will those dozen eggs actually fit in the pie crust!
