I made steak and eggs for lunch. I think that I do honestly fry too much steak, just so I can give it to my feathered friends. (They go crazy for my steaks) here’s the math: neighbor gives me meat, I give him eggs, (lots of eggs) I get too much steak, so I share them with the chooks, and they give me even more eggs. Algebra? Or quantum physics ?
Symbiotic relationship. 👍

I promise you that if the owners find their dog with a chicken, they are not telling anyone. They know they are a bad owner and they might actually keep control of the dog for a few days. But the dog will be back.
I know. I'm trying to track down a security or trail camera that won't break the bank (need that for fencing materials) and is cold hardy to -40. While I've never seen it get quite that cold, it come close usually for a week almost every winter.

Fair exchange and respect amongst good neighbours. A perfect situation :)

Arial predators don't normally kill and leave behind. The method screams canine.
I was just thinking no footprints and if the birds retaliated then they could have been a few casualties. But I am not qualified enough too know on this subject because of where I live.

Dogs can't get over the fence here, an alsatian or similar dog could could but luckily the ones near my home are are contained.
