I know. I'm trying to track down a security or trail camera that won't break the bank (need that for fencing materials) and is cold hardy to -40. While I've never seen it get quite that cold, it come close usually for a week almost every winter.
Had a half grown pup here early last spring, and is the suspected culprit, but didn't even see footprints let alone a bit of fur (and I was LOOKING).Likely just a dog having fun.

I was just thinking no footprints and if the birds retaliated then they could have been a few casualties. But I am not qualified enough too know on this subject because of where I live.
Highly unlikely. Too many bodies. Most aerial attacks involve 1 target and LOTS of blood, even if unsuccessful. if successful, either body is carried off, or eaten then and there. Neither of those happened.
