I hate having a head cold and fever
(in the middle of the summer) I’m sure it’s the smoke and poor air quality here, but it sure doesn’t help me get motivation for the work I need to get done around here!

Need the pictures.New hens are here, and I'll get pictures later for everyone. I'm really going to need Alex's input on these girls at least until I get a egg. I was told they are blue Marans, they are blue, but they have the most un Maran like body shape I've ever seen. I may have just inherited 6 blue large fowl cochins.
I once knew someone who would get serious headaches when she ate cheese or chocolate, as for myself if I've had sinus pain usually through dust or pollen that's normally when I get headaches. Same said when I get muscle pain in my shoulders. This describes what I'm going through right now perfectly. And yes compared to my sister and my dad now, I'm calling my case of covid mild. What gets me is the headache really didn't start until about a week after I tested positive.
Looks to me, that they have a dominant Cochin trait in their mix. Do more research and get more information. They sure are beautiful birds! Some more pics of the new girls, I do know one thing, come Fluffy Butt Fridays these girls have some big booties to show off.

It's the hardest language in the world to learn to speak
Right and write are pronounced the same plus whole and holeRead, read
Lead, lead
Bow, bow, bough
Two, to, too
There, their, they're
Then all the words borrowed from other languages that may or may not be pronounced the same ast he original language....
...just as Chinese is the hardest to learn to write.
This incredible lady using a crockpot just fascinated me. I only have a small crockpot I really must ask her if this could be a possibility as wellI've just found a brilliant thread, both a crock pot and hen was used as incubators too hatch baby chicks.
This girl is a marvel

My sawdust guy kept calling them marans. I was not going to argue even though I'm skeptical after seeing what shape they are in. They are heavy girls. I did find out that they turn 2 around Thanksgiving. He said they picked them up from a feed store during a black friday sale. Now if I had been paying for these birds I might have questioned and even backed out but they were given to me. They are nervous at the moment but they want to be friendly. I have managed to bribe 2 to come eat a earthworm from my hand. And I did say one day I would like to have cochin pullet/hen in my flock. That day may have came sooner then later, and instead of 1, 6 is the magic number.Looks to me, that they have a dominant Cochin trait in their mix. Do more research and get more information. They sure are beautiful birds!![]()
If I was a chicken in a crockpot (of any size) I would be worried! Just saying. This incredible lady using a crockpot just fascinated me. I only have a small crockpot I really must ask her if this could be a possibility as well![]()
