Keep me posted on this. I'm very curious.I don’t know. She’s never seen one, but possibly? However, she acted like a total nut attacking the young-ins last time she went broody, so we’ll see.

I'm glad and honored, they will make her highness proud!
Very interesting! That’s Cashew. Her’s is the first voice you hear and then does make a long sound… it sounds almost like a growl? And yes, right at 21 seconds, as well.Your Buff Orpington (name?) - is it she that's doing that low "oohhhhh" sound, esp at about 23 seconds when you remark how the sounds are calming down? It sounds very much like Queenie sounded when there was something good to eat about. An enthusiastic cooing. I loved it nd love hearing it here! It does tug my heart a bit but I also think it's so wonderful. Are breeds very identifiable by the sounds they make, the tone qualities? Queenie didn't sound like the Buckeyes sound.
Poor Xzit! I hope she’s ok!Sorry I had to stop the joy in this thread, but my little Xzit hurt her foot this afternoon. She scratched up a piece of broken glass and I’m now doing first aid ⛑ (Yes chickens do bleed) but I know what to do!
Yep!Quick question. I haven’t had pullets as young as Belle and Snow before so I’m trying to be observant as far as changes go with them. When the girls are getting their big girl voices (peep peep going to bok bok haha) do they normally make random honking type sounds, when excited or something has given them a fright?
Aww… so cute and tiny!I have to catch up on the thread but needed to share. First day of spring and Belle laid her first egg this morning!!!
Can you tell which one?

Poor baby! I’m so glad you have a vet who can see her.I called my veterinarian, and she will see Xzit at noon tomorrow. The injury is worse than I thought. I cleaned out the wound, and wrapped it up with sterile cotton gauze. The vet is 2 hours away by car. She will be spending the night with me in the house (in the Animal carriage)
What's also weird is I found some former colleagues on FB; most of whom don't remember him, and some classmates who have gone dark on me.Such an awful thing to have to live with for all those years. The song captures that so well. I wish I could hug you for real.![]()
