My heart bursts seeing them out in the grass.Happy Fluffy Butt Friday everyone. It didn't take them long to leave the cage this morning. 2 minutes after the door was opened they were out exploring. They stayed out for a hour then returned to the cage to get down to the serious business of egg laying. I'm going to give them a few more days to settle in, but soon going to have to do some serious booty washing. Hopefully next Friday these girls will have some clean butts to show off.

LavenderYou know, they could be lavender. Their blue is definitely different then Blueberry who is a 100% blue. The whole lavender thing confuses me somewhat. Apparently it is very easy to mix up whether a chicken is either a light blue verses lavender.
Blueberry, no question about it, Blue.

Some of Peggy's blue feathers have dark pencilling on the edges too. She's wearing old feathers right now, so it's not very pronounced but if you look at her chest in particular you'll spot some dark laced feathers.Happy Friday from Storm's 4 week old fluffView attachment 2821006
I swear she looks like she's black laced blueView attachment 2821007Or a BB ombre...
Up periscope!Check out the Necks on those Chicks!
I think maybe we can stop worrying that they aren’t getting fluids and nutrition and can all focus on the developing hair dos.Proof that They are Drinking. 9/3/21
It is very clear in that last photo. Some of Peggy's blue feathers have dark pencilling on the edges too. She's wearing old feathers right now, so it's not very pronounced but if you look at her chest in particular you'll spot some dark laced feathers.

Me too. It's a sound principle.I never watch the movie of a book I like. It leads to disappointment. I have made a few exceptions but only after a lot of agonizing!
