I've been known to call them freeloaders myself. You see, with Raven and Blueberry I can and will complain. They are basically the same breed mix. Both are half Black Copper Marans, their dad is my late Rooster Drumstick. Raven is the daughter of my late hen Henrietta a Easter Egger x Wyandotte mix. Blueberry is Henrietta's granddaughter, but her mom is also the product of a Easter Egger x Wyandotte mix. So If Blueberry being younger and who I thought would make me wait until spring lay's first and Raven is the one who waits until spring I will complain to her all winter and call her a freeloader.
Okay good! Thats what i thought. Her comb and wattles say she is ready.
I have crown molding to install..........Is that a coop or a cabin?!
Clever chicks! They already know how to find the warmth.Right now they are confining their work to the end of the coop with the heater in place. So they must be a little chilly.
