Which, the milk thistle or the probiotics? I don’t see why either would interfere with the other.Would anyone know if I mixed milk thistle into the ferment feed if it would still work it's magic
She’s always beautiful, moult or notHattie's New Feathers
I was going on about Hattie's new feathers this morning. I got a photo of her just now. Check out the new lavender feathers compared to the old grey ones.

I can hardly stand the cuteness. I swear, Bob, I can feel their little feathers on my neck as I watch them snuggle up to you. Precious!Final Roosting on BY Bob
Every night when I bring the girls inside from their little run they roost on my arm. When we get to my office then they hang out on my arm and from themselves, even nap for a while.
Here they are last night. For the first time someone slips off my arm.
Because of that they adjusted their roosting location. I was a little worried about my head. After all there is precidence.
Once in awhile I make a mash with echinacea, goldenseal and olive leaf extract. Learned about the olive leaf extract from @Beekissed.If I can get hold of the ingredients I would love to try. I want to detoxify their liver. This milk thistle is helping amber![]()
Gorgeous!Nope, she is a beautiful chicken. I admit myself there are only a few breeds I'm drawn to and can pick out, the rest are just chickens. Albeit pretty chickens. Bob's new candy corn girls have sorta sparked a interest in polish. I'm loving this color variety. But before I even start thinking about adding polish I have to have at least 1 Brahma. They have been on my list for a while now, and I wanted a Dark Brahma. Well the other day I stumbled across a color in Brahma that I didn't know about. Black, I NEED 1. That way I will have a Black Copper Marans, which with my hens they are mostly black, Black silkies, add in a Black Brahma, and for good measure a Black Cochin and I'll be set.
Look at these, Big, Black and with feathered feet and legs, they would fit right in.

WOW! That’s impressive! Looks like she’s using her tail as a shield. Smart girl! Those who read on my thread will have seen this already but I wanted to share my broody Jap bantam here as well as I've never seen a broody do this before. Just watch what she does with her tail!
Oh, I don't denigrate myself. It's just a fact of life. I'm good with the words & all the feelies but most of the science might as well be hieroglyphics as far as I'm concerned. It's a different world view altogether.Okay, another blast from the past...but @Ribh, I think this is IMPORTANT that you don't denigrate yourself!
The'arty~farty brigade'
is just as important - but more to the mental/emotional health and well being as opposed to the physical health and well being, side of life!

Yeah, and maybe Phyllis was just s bit stressed from all the change. I think she’ll be ok.I'm happy for you!
About the egg, I think that's unusual but not something to be concerned about. Ivy's done it twice, Peggy once, Mary once, Janet never.
