this obviously isnt as exciting for everyone else as for me, but im pretty happy because its another milestone.
so, recently little Isbe has laid her first egg (a few minutes ago actually haha) and its a nice size! (2.05 OZ) with a nice cream color, this is a milestone for me because ive had her for like 6-7 months (sense egg) and darling she already was laying at the other house before i got her, so it wasnt to suprising although it was quite cool! But boy did she look shocked when it plopped out! Was a bit sad because it didnt even land in the nest haha

It’s egg citing to have a laying hen. My hens seemed to slow down for the winter’s shorter day light. Now, I only get a handful of eggs a week, when before, I was getting these:

Maggie’s therapy
I am working on what I can do something about with Maggie. If she either had leg weakness caused by some deficiency (probably from not eating commercial food) or something like a stroke, then physical therapy might help.
So I rigged up a sure fire Maggie physio mechanism.
Here you see her balancing on a log and standing on tippy toe while reaching up high. I think she is doing rather well.
She will do pretty much anything for an ear of corn!
Awww… love that Maggie!
